It’s the last day of August and smallmouth fishing all around the country is ready to bust wide open! August on the other hand can be hit or miss. Algae blooms, dirty water, abundance of small forage and scattered small schools make the bite hot for a minute and cold in a second. Check out what I’ve been throwing all month for big smallies!
