Deadly Minnow Tactics for Monster Smallmouth

Fall is in the air and the smallmouth are eating up, getting ready for a long winter. Smallmouth eat crawdads year round but this time of year they take advantage of the tremendous baitfish balls that are floating around this time of year. Shad where applicable of course, but up here in the north country we're talking smelt, shiners and perch! In this video, I utilize my Garmin 8616/LVS 34 combo to search for smallmouth that are transitioning deeper for the winter months. I'm far less worried about structure this time of year and am more concerned with where the bait is. Once I find the bait, it's just a matter of time till we come across the bass and they can't help but eat a jig and minnow presentation cause that's exactly what they're looking for.
